About Us

The Saskatoon Storytellers' Guild began back in 1981, and its purpose through the years has been to promote the art of Storytelling and create a supportive community of storytellers in Saskatoon. Our main activity has been monthly story telling sessions or "circles", but we occasionally organize concerts and workshops. In 2008 we hosted a national conference for the Storytellers of Canada/Conteurs du Canada.

Monthly Circles

The Saskatoon Storytellers' Guild meets once a month, September through May or June. We welcome visitors with open arms, warm hearts and cheerful voices. For more information, please send us an email.

Our Focus

All our activities are geared for adults. Many of us work with children regularly, so this group provides us with a chance to grow and develop our skills without the challenges of entertaining children.

Special events

We hold concerts in Saskatoon to celebrate days like the annual World Storytelling Day, and hold retreats for our members to increase their capacity and rejuvenate.
