About Us

The Saskatoon Storytellers’ Guild began back in 1981, and its purpose through the years has been to promote the art of Storytelling and create a supportive community of storytellers in Saskatoon. Our main activity has been monthly story telling sessions or "circles", but we occasionally organize concerts and workshops. In 2008 we hosted a national conference for the Storytellers of Canada/Conteurs du Canada. All our activities are geared for adults. Many of us work with children regularly, so this group provides us with a chance to grow and develop our skills without the challenges of entertaining children.

The Saskatoon Storytellers’ Guild meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm in the historic Senator Hotel, in the basement of Winston’s Pub and Grill, at 243 21st Street East in Saskatoon. We welcome visitors with open arms, warm hearts and cheerful voices.
